Manchester United captain Harry Maguire is facing several weeks on the sidelines.

Maguire will be out for 'a few weeks', says Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, though Luke Shaw could be fit enough to take on Villarreal on Wednesday.

Both players limped out of United's 1-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa on Saturday lunchtime and United captain Maguire is now set for a period on the treatment table that will also rule him out of England's October international games.

"Luke has been in today, so I'll give him a chance to be involved tomorrow," Solskjaer said in a press conference ahead of their Champions League tie with Villarreal.

"He didn't train with the team. Harry is more or less definitely out, it doesn't look good. So apart from that, from the bruised pride from the result, we should be ready to go."
