Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted when he expects Jadon Sancho to make his debut.

United finally brought their long pursuit of Sancho to an end by agreeing a £72million deal with Borussia Dortmund, a fee decided on during Euro 2020.

While the agreement between the clubs was being reached, Sancho was with the England national team as they reached the final of their summer tournament.

Along with England team-mates Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford, as well as Brazilian midfielder Fred, Sancho is not due back at Carrington until the first week of August.

“The English players and Fred, the ones who played Euros and Copa America and went all the way to the finals, needed a break as well, they're back with us in about 10 days' time," said Solskjaer.

That would put Sancho's arrival date at around 3 August, ensuring he will miss the friendlies against Brentford on 28 July and Preston North End on 31 July.
