Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took some positives from his team's 2-1 defeat to Leicester City in the Premier League on Tuesday.

United heavily rotated their side after playing on Sunday against Aston Villa, with the likes of Amad Diallo and Anthony Elanga starting for the Red Devils.

Mason Greenwood got United's only goal of the game, equalising in the first half before Caglar Soyuncu won the game for Leicester.

Asked about that goal and his attackers' contributions, Solskjaer told reporters, per the club website: "Yeah, a very good goal, great pass by Juan [Mata], a fantastic run, good timing.

"You can see Amad all day with his timing, his deceiving runs.

"I thought he played really well, and Mason scored, as he always does."
