Manchester United are in talks to play Liverpool twice in preseason at home.
United are looking to settle on their plans for the summer with flight restrictions playing a significant role, reports the Manchester Evening News.
As a result they are planning to play their arch rivals twice - once at Old Trafford and once at Anfield.
United have played Liverpool twice in preseason friendlies over the past seven years, although both have been staged in the United States.
They won 3-1 in Miami in 2014 and lost 4-1 in Ann Arbor in 2018.
United are also planning games in Malta and Scandinavia.
