Manchester United and Liverpool have joined the race for Bayer Munich defender Benjamin Pavard, according to Kicker.

Die Rekordmeister’s final Bundesliga game at Koln this weekend could be the 27-year-old’s last game in Germany.

After Bayern’s 3-1 home defeat against RB Leipzig, the Pavard appeared to wave goodbye to the fans.

Pavard’s contract ends in 2024 and the upcoming transfer window is the last opportunity for Bayern to sell him for a fee.

Several top clubs are circling and want to sign the French international this summer.

Man United will need a new centre-back this summer if Harry Maguire leaves after four years at Old Trafford.

Liverpool could also be in for Pavard if they sell any of their defenders this summer.

Real Madrid also have their sights set on the World Cup-winning defender, while Inter Milan have been credited with an interest.

However, Pavard could still stay with the Bavarians. He has an excellent relationship with Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel.

The defender has arguably been Bayern’s most consistent player in a disappointing campaign.

His ability to play centre-back and right-back makes him an intriguing proposition, and Bayern may be reluctant to lose his versatility.

Pavard will have several exciting options, but there are no current favourites in the race for his signature.
