Manchester United have accepted a €30m (£25.4m) bid from Napoli for midfielder Scott McTominay, multiple reports claim.

The Red Devils have been open to selling McTominay in recent years, though only on their own terms, notably rejecting advances from West Ham last summer.

And according to several reports on Sunday - first broken by David Ornstein of The Athletic - United have agreed to sell him to Napoli, who are now managed by former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte.

Napoli's €30m offer, which also includes a sell-on clause, has been accepted by United and they will now proceed to discuss personal terms with McTominay.

The midfielder's current contract at Old Trafford expires in 2025, though United retain a one-year extension clause.

United are hoping to bring in Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain as a replacement for McTominay, and reports in recent days suggest they are edging closer towards an agreement to sign the Uruguayan.

Napoli, meanwhile, are also in talks with Brighton & Hove Albion over McTominay's Scotland teammate, Billy Gilmour. McTominay and Gilmour both played in Saturday's Premier League encounter between Brighton and United, which ended in a late 2-1 win for the Seagulls.

Should McTominay leave United, he will bring down the curtain on 22 years of association with the club. He came through their academy ranks and has gone on to make 255 appearances at senior level, scoring 29 goals - 10 of which came last season.

McTominay might not be the only current United player on his way to Italy, with Juventus interested in signing winger Jadon Sancho, who has been left out of the matchday squad for the Red Devils' first two Premier League games of the season.
