Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is on track to make Sunday's derby at Manchester City.
He hasn't played since limping off during Manchester United's 3-1 win over Arsenal at the start of September, citing the injury as the reason for his England omission.
But The Sun says he is winning the race against time to be fit for his side's crunch tie against Manchester City on Sunday.
Rashford has missed two games - both in the Europa League - with the hamstring issue.
He picked up the injury after scoring two goals against Arsenal at Old Trafford as he looks to regain form under Erik ten Hag.
He tweeted on September 15, after being left out the England squad for Nations League games against Italy and Germany: "In regards to England every player wants to represent there country and I'm no different! Unfortunately I'm not ready yet as I've picked up an untimely injury."
It's unclear if Rashford would have been named in the squad if he was fit.
