Man United’s fixture schedule as route to Europa League glory becomes clearer | OneFootball

Manchester United have a fantastic opportunity to claim their first piece of silverware under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Reds travel to Germany for the Europa League’s condensed mini-tournament knowing they are just three matches away from glory.

Solskjaer’s rotated side laboured to a 2-1 victory over LASK at Old Trafford to seal the progression through to the quarter-finals, though the game was all but a formality with the 5-0 lead they had going into the second leg.

United’s route to the final of the competition became clearer on Thursday evening as the remaining quarter-finalists were confirmed.

FC Copenhagen will be United’s quarter-final opponents on Monday after overturning a deficit to knock out Turkish side İstanbul Başakşehir 3-1 on aggregate.

Meanwhile, Wolves edged past Olympiakos at Molineux to complete a 2-1 aggregate win.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will face La Liga side Sevilla in the quarters on Tuesday, after they beat 2-0 Roma in a one-leg round of 16 clash.

Wolves’ progression means the Reds could meet them in an all-Premier League semi-final if each side win their respective ties.

In the other quarter-finals, Bayern Leverkusen face Inter Milan and Shakhtar Donestsk come up against FC Basel.
