Man United Women fight back to beat Arsenal | OneFootball

Arsenal lost to Manchester United in front of 40,064 at the Emirates Stadium, while Manchester City won at Everton.

Leah Galton’s shot was pushed away by Manuela Zinsberger but United took a 39th-minute lead when the keeper didn’t get to Hayley Ladd’s cross, leaving Ella Toone to turn the ball over the line.

Seconds after the interval, Frida Maanum went on an unchallenged run and her deflected shot flew in off Maya le Tissier to make it 1-1.

With 13 minutes to go, Katie McCabe swung over a perfect cross which Laura Wienroither volleyed in.

It was then all square again as Millie Turner headed into the roof if the net, after Katie Zelem whipped in a free kick.

Lucia Garcia and Martha Thomas were both denied by Winsberger before Alessia Russo headed home from Zelem’s corner.

Khadija Shaw made one goal and scored another as Manchester City won 2-1 away to Everton.

Everton’s Emily Ramsey prevented Chloe Kelly giving Manchester City the lead inside 30 seconds and the offside flag then game to the hosts’ rescue as Khadija Shaw netted.

City went ahead just after the half-hour mark, Shaw was played in and set up Julie Blakstad to slot into the empty net.

Everton were level within ten minutes, Rikki Sevecke nodding home a loose ball after a corner.

Ramsey collected her own attempted clearance before it crossed the line, to keep her side on level terms at the break.

She again saved seconds after the restart but this time from Shaw, who soon restored the advantage from Laura Coombs’ strike against the post.
