This is the third pre-season fixture announced by United, with games against Wrexham and Borussia Dortmund also on the agenda.

The Red Devils are scheduled to face the newly-crowned National League champions in San Diego on July 25 before meeting Dortmund in Las Vegas five days later.

United’s final overseas pre-season fixture will be announced over the next few weeks.

Man United will be keen to make a statement against the Gunners

Man United kicked off the Erik ten Hag last summer with some impressive performances in Thailand and Australia.

United kicked off the Erik ten Hag era last summer with some impressive performances in Thailand and Australia.

However, their preparations did not deliver the desired results, with United opening the league campaign with defeats against Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford.

Ten Hag eventually steadied the ship and has overseen a largely positive campaign in his first season at Old Trafford.

He will be keen to make a statement this summer, and the game against Arsenal offers an ideal opportunity to do just that.

The Gunners have re-emerged as a force in the Premier League this season, mounting a serious challenge for the title.

While it looks like they will come up short, they can still be expected to provide United with a stiff pre-season test.

United could head into the game with two trophies under their belts, with the team aiming to add the FA Cup to the Carabao Cup they won in February.

They beat Newcastle United at Wembley Stadium and have the chance to complete a cup double when they face Manchester City on June 3.
