Sky Sport Italia reports that Manchester United are unwilling to give Joshua Zirkzee to Juventus on a dry loan deal but are open to discussing a temporary transfer with an obligation to buy.

Sky Sport Italia expert Gianluca Di Marzio confirms Juventus have opened preliminary talks with Zirkzee’s agent over a January transfer for the ex-Bologna star.

Zirkzee has been struggling with playing time at Old Trafford and was subbed off after just 33 minutes in a recent 2-0 loss against Sandro Tonali’s Newcastle.

Sky Sport are the latest Italian media confirming ongoing talks between Juventus and the striker’s entourage, but according to Di Marzio, the Bianconeri want Zirkzee on a dry loan deal until the end of the season.

On the other hand, the Red Devils are open to offloading the player, but it must be on a permanent deal or on loan with an obligation to buy.

Zirkzee scored on his Manchester United debut in August 2024 but has only netted four times in 27 appearances at Old Trafford this term.
