Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has offered himself to Juventus amid the uncertainty over his future at Old Trafford, according to Tuttosport.
The Swedish international has been a fringe player for the Red Devils, and he has been tipped to leave the club with his contract expiring next summer.
However, Lindelof has plans to depart much earlier. The defender’s agent has a good connection with sporting director Cristiano Guintoli, having previously aided the club’s sale of midfielder Denis Zakaria to Monaco.
Lindelof’s age does not fit into the club’s criteria, but they have not ruled out an approach after recent injuries to Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal.
The Red Devils have had plenty of injury troubles in the central defensive department.
Matthijs de Ligt, Jonny Evans and Lindelof are currently the only fit options for manager Ruben Amorim.
Harry Maguire is sidelined with a calf problem, while Leny Yoro has not made his United debut yet after foot surgery.
Lisandro Martinez has withdrawn from international duty with a fresh injury picked up against Leicester City last weekend.
Maguire, Yoro and Martinez are anticipated to return before the turn of the year, but United are unlikely to consider any exits.
Unless the Bianconeri are prepared to pay a decent fee, Lindelof is unlikely to leave in the next transfer window.
The £31 million signing may have to wait until the end of the campaign to secure a free transfer.
