Milinkovic-Savic, 26, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for several seasons – however, these latest claims come just days after current midfielder Paul Pogba put on an excellent display against Spurs.
Pogba, although clearly enjoying a rich vein of form, continues to see his name linked with a move away from Manchester.
With the Frenchman’s deal set to expire next summer, it is widely accepted that should the World Cup winner opt against renewing his deal, he’ll be moved on once the summer window opens.
In an attempt to eye up a possible replacement, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Red Devils are once again showing an interest in Lazio midfielder Milinkovic-Savic.
The report claims that Milinkovic-Savic’s long-term Lazio future could hinge on the Italian side securing Champions League qualification.
It has been noted that United are not the only club monitoring the highly-rated Serbian, with Paris-Saint Germain and Real Madrid also casting a keen eye.
