Fabrizio Romano reveals that Manchester United still have a shred of hope in the race for both Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.
The Red Devils are currently in the process of revamping their attacking department. They have already acquired Matheus Cunha, while a move for Bryan Mbeumo is still in the works.
INEOS are simultaneously working on offloading the attackers deemed surplus to requirements, namely Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, and potentially Rasmus Hojlund.
In the coming days and weeks, United are expected to accelerate their attempts to land a new centre-forward.
However, Man Utd’s plans intertwine with Arsenal, who are equally desperate to find a new marksman and have identified the same targets.
The two Premier League rivals have been the frontrunners in the race for Viktor Gyokeres, which has swiftly unfolded into a chaotic soap opera involving a public spat between Sporting CP’s president and the player’s agent.
Moreover, Arsenal have been trying to reach an agreement with Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, with MUFC still lurking in the background.
In recent hours, it has been claimed that the Gunners have secured a deal for the 22-year-old Slovenian bomber.
Nevertheless, Fabrizio Romano has denied these reports in the latest video posted on his official YouTube channel.

The Italian journalist insists that the North Londoners are working hard on the Sesko track, but have yet to reach the finish. He also explains that Gyokeres remains an option for Mikel Arteta’s side, but they haven’t been able to find a breakthrough just yet.
Therefore, Man Utd still stand a chance in the race for both strikers, even though neither track appears to be easy at this stage, with their respective clubs requesting figures in the region of £80 million.
