Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce were interested in doing late transfer business with Manchester United.

They were reportedly looking to sign Brazilian attacker Antony on a loan deal.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano has debunked those reports by confirming that Antony is fully committed to the Man United project.

The 24-year-old has no intention of leaving the club.

Antony must prove himself this season

With Jadon Sancho moving to Chelsea, Erik ten Hag is left with four senior wingers – Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo and Antony.

The Brazil international is currently the fourth-choice at United.

Ten Hag was stubborn about signing Antony from Ajax in 2022. The Red Devils had to strike an £85 million deal with Ajax to reunite the duo.

Antony started his United career on a high, scoring three goals in the first three Premier League games.

However, he failed to deliver similar performances. He has netted 11 goals and registered five assists in 83 appearances.

He has made only one appearance in the three league games this season. That solitary display came as a 90th-minute substitute against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The former Ajax trickster has displayed a positive attitude. He is determined to prove himself on the big stage, and he has one more chance to do so in this campaign.

Antony must focus on improving his end product. He should also use his weaker foot more, which would add unpredictability to his game.
