Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim was surprisingly happy to see two of his players clash after the final whistle.
The Red Devils returned from the Czech Republic with three crucial points in the bag after turning the result upside down to earn a 2-1 victory over their hosts Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League group stage. This result elevated them to the eighth spot which secures a direct route to the Round of 16, that is of course, if they manage to maintain it.
Rasmus Hojlund was the hero on Thursday, scoring the brace that completed the turnaround. However, the super-sub was gunning for a hat-trick off the bench, but was denied by his teammate Amad Diallo who decided to go solo in the final minutes.
So after the final whistle, the Dane let the Ivorian know he was unhappy with his demeanor, which prompted a row between the two former Atalanta youngsters.
Nevertheless, Amorim was hardly troubled by the whole episode. On the contrary, the Man United boss took it as a healthy signal.
“Yes (I was aware of that), and for me it’s perfect,” said the United manager in his post-match interview as reported by Sky Sports.
“You know, in this moment we need to feel something. If we need to fight each other, it’s like a family. For me, it’s a very, very good sign. We need to feel something and that is important.”

Amorim argued that this quarrel proves that the players do care about the cause.
“When you don’t care, you don’t do nothing. When you care, you fight with your brother, with your father, with your mother. For me, it’s a very good sign.
“It’s a normal thing. I think it’s a positive thing, a healthy thing, so I let the players and the captain to calm down the things.
“If I see it is too much, I will go inside the dressing room. But it’s their space, they have to talk, to fight and, again, for me it’s a very important thing.”
