Man United have ‘agreed’ deals to sign Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich, which will finally give West Ham the ‘green light’ to capture Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with both defenders over the past few months as the club looks to bolster its backline.
The pair are among a number of players Bayern are hoping to offload ahead of the new season, including Bryan Zaragoza and Kingsley Coman.
The Bundesliga side have now ‘reached an agreement’ with Man United to sell De Ligt and Mazraoui in a big money deal, according to The Athletic.
De Ligt will move for a transfer fee worth up to €50 million, including €5m in add-ons, and will sign a five-year contract provided he passes a medical. It includes the option for an additional year.
Asked about the move for De Ligt ahead of the Community Shield on Saturday, Man United head coach Erik ten Hag told ITV: “I don’t know, I can’t talk about players under contract at other clubs. When we have the news, we will bring it.”
Mazraoui, meanwhile, will join the Premier League outfit after Bayern accepted a transfer proposal of €15m plus €5m in bonuses for the full-back.
The Moroccan international’s move is contingent on the sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is set to join West Ham United after the two clubs agreed upon a £15m transfer fee.
The right-back’s medical is due to take place on Sunday or Monday.
