The Moroccan international has spent the entirety of his career in Spain. He had earlier spells at both Leganes and Malaga before moving to Sevilla in the summer of 2020.

It is fair to say that Al-Nesyri has hit the ground running at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium. He is the club’s top scorer this season by a wide margin and averages a strike every 102 minutes played. (h/t BBC)

The report goes on to add that the player’s physical prowess coupled with his ability on the ball make him an ideal fit for the English game. While Sevilla may have accepted €46m for him earlier, they are now set to ask for much more.

As things stand, Al-Nesyri could end up becoming the most expensive player ever sold by the Spanish side. The previous record of €40m was obtained when Wissam Ben Yeddar was sold to Monaco in 2019.

It is no secret that United are in need of a striker. With Anthony Martial not impressing and Edinson Cavani’s deal running out, the Red Devils will have to dip into the summer window.

To add insult to injury, Marcus Rashford too has been bogged down by injuries and is not in a position to last a full game.

Bringing in reinforcements will surely help take the heat off him permitting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to rotate him better. Whether Al-Nesyri is that man remains to be seen.
