Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United.

Dembele, 24, joined Barcelona in 2017 after making an eye-watering £117m switch from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, as per Transfermarkt.

A stunning 2016-17 campaign with Dortmund saw the French winger directly contribute to 32 goals in 50 appearances, in all competitions.

However, after making the staggering switch to his La Liga giants, Dembele has struggled to replicate the same form which earned him the move.

A string of poor performances and hugely frustrating injuries have seen the 24-year-old become a shadow of his former self.

Despite boasting a decent goal scoring record (25) in his first 93 appearances for the Catalan club, a lot more was expected of the French World Cup winner.

During last summer’s transfer window, in a bid to offload their underperforming star, Barcelona were reportedly negotiating a loan deal which would see the 24-year-old join United.

However, with talks unable to be concluded, a summer move ultimately failed to materialised, but that hasn’t stopped the links.

The latest in the ongoing saga comes from Spanish outlet Sport who claim stalling contract talks could prompt Barcelona into offloading the winger in the summer.

The outlet claims that should Dembele refuse to commit his long-term future to Barcelona, the club’s new president (elections delayed) will be faced with the task of finding the £117m star a new club.

It has been reported that United are ‘perfectly informed’ on Dembele’s current situation and remain interested in securing his services.

In addition to the Red Devils, Chelsea, Juventus and Bayern Munich are all said to be keen on Dembele too.
