Valencia are reportedly unhappy with the first offer they have received from Manchester City for winger Ferran Torres.
The 20-year-old is widely expected to seal a move to the Etihad this summer, with all parties concerned eager for the deal to go through.
However, Superdeporte report that Valencia are not willing to let him go at any price, despite their need to cash in on one of their prized assets.
His current deal expires next summer and Los Che are keen to turn City’s Leroy Sané model around by also claiming a big fee for a player with a year left on his contract.
The German joined Bayern Munich for a fee of €45 million and Valencia are seeking a fee between €30m-€45m for Torres, whose €80m release clause is clearly not going to be met.
But the same story states that City’s initial offer of €15m plus bonuses has been instantly dismissed by Valencia, who are insistent on their demands being met.
Negotiations are set to continue between the clubs, with the Citizens aware of Valencia’s poor bargaining position.
They need money and with no Champions League football incoming, may have to ultimately accept an offer short of what they were hoping for.
