However, after impressing with his pre-season performances and securing a vital assist against Manchester United in the FA Community Sheild, Bobb has picked up a bad injury.

The 21-year-old winger has suffered a non-contact bone fracture, which happened when he was turning.

The Norwegian international has fractured his fibula and his operation in Barcelona is scheduled to take place on Friday.

As such, Bobb is boarding a plane later today and flying over to Spain for the surgery.

Initially, the talented winger is set to miss at least three to four opening months of the season.

Now it remains to be seen what the verdict will be following his operation in Spain.
