The Telegraph claim that Pep Guardiola is looking for a new left-back having become frustrated with Benjamin Mendy’s injury woes.

But with Brendan Rodgers hoping to keep Chilwell and Leicester in no need to sell, the reigning Premier League champions may have to drop a huge sum to land the 22-year-old.

It’s claimed that City will have to bid in excess of the €80m Liverpool paid Southampton for Virgil van Dijk last January if they want the Midlands club to enter negotiations.
