Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola believes the Premier League clubs have to go a long way before they can claim to match the dominance of Spanish clubs in Europe.

The top teams in the Premier League are among the favorites to win the UEFA Champions League this term, especially Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool.

The Blues and Reds have won the competition in the past three years, while City and Tottenham were in the finals.

Guardiola told reporters on Monday: "Spain was one decade here is two, three years [of domination].

"We have to wait to see if England can match what Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico and Valencia did.

"All four English teams have qualified and that is a big success for the Premier League."
