Manchester City have suffered a double injury blow with John Stones and Aymeric Laporte out for the next two weeks.

City face a crunch week of games, starting with a trip to Stamford Bridge to face title rivals Chelsea on Saturday, followed by a clash with Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital before taking on Liverpool at Anfield.

The Telegraph says the pair are expected to be out for the next two weeks, meaning they will miss all three games in a sickening blow to manager Pep Guardiola.

Laporte has started the campaign strongly, featuring in wins over Norwich, Arsenal and Leicester City, but a problem in his groin and hip area has sidelined him. The Spanish international missed last Saturday's 0-0 draw with Southampton.

Stones, meanwhile, has not featured for City this season despite a strong showing last term. The 27-year-old returned from England duty with a muscle problem which was reportedly compounded by a further setback in training.
