Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea among a host of clubs keen on Barcelona teen sensation
The Football Faithful
Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are among the clubs interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Gavi.
The teenager has attracted interest from leading Premier League sides following his exciting emergence with the Spanish giants, with the 17-year-old having made 24 appearances in all competitions for the Catalans so far this season.
Gavi has also broken into the senior Spain squad and has won four caps for the national side, but his future remains uncertain as Barcelona struggle to agree terms on a new contract.

The midfielder’s current deal expires in 2023 and possesses a release clause of €50m, a figure that – according to SPORT – several sides are considering meeting, including Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.
Bayern Munich are also watching developments, with Barcelona’s financial situation having raised the prospect of Gavi departing.
The Catalans are keen to tie the academy graduate to a long-term deal and insert a huge release clause in any new contract, following the agreements reached with fellow prospects Ansu Fati and Pedri in recent months.
Gavi’s current contract remains a youth deal and Barcelona want to reward the talented teenager with improved terms that reflect his rise to senior status.
