For reasons nobody can quite explain, inflatable bananas became a craze on the terraces of Maine Road in the 1980s and 90s.
And now, three decades on, Manchester City are trying to reignite that craze with the launch of a bizarre banana-themed goalkeeper kit.

Unfortunately, the kit will only feature as an unlockable item in FIFA Ultimate Team, which is a shame because Ederson seems to love it.
But maybe bananas and goalkeepers aren’t a good combo. This kit could well lead to a few slip-ups, and it’s likely to split opinion.
