Star striker facing weeks on the sidelines with an ankle issue suffered in the FA Cup win over Bournemouth
Haaland, who missed a penalty early on the south coast, equalised in the second half with his 30th goal of the season across all competitions.
However, his afternoon came to an end earlier than he would have liked as his left foot was caught under the challenge of Bournemouth’s Lewis Cook as the pair battled for the ball.
Haaland received treatment on the pitch and tried to continue, but signalled to the bench that he needed to come off and was subsequently replaced by Omar Marmoush - who scored moments later to ultimately send City into another FA Cup semi-final, against Nottingham Forest at Wembley.
The injury took a little gloss off the comeback win, especially with Ederson returning from injury to feature at the Vitality Stadium.
So with games against Leicester and Manchester United on the horizon, here’s a look at the latest Manchester City injury news…
Haaland was seen leaving the Vitality Stadium with the aid of crutches and a protective boot and he underwent tests on Monday.
City have now confirmed that he will be sidelined for an indefinite period and is set to visit a specialist to determine the exact severity of his ankle problem.

They expect him back at some point this season - though exactly when is unclear - and to play in this summer’s revamped Club World Cup.
“Manchester City FC can confirm that Erling Haaland has suffered an injury to his left ankle,” the club said in a statement.
“The Norwegian striker sustained the injury during Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final victory away at AFC Bournemouth.
“Erling underwent initial tests in Manchester on Monday morning and will now seek specialist consultation to confirm the full extent of the injury.
“Assessment remains ongoing to ascertain a full prognosis. The expectation is that Erling will be fit in time to play a further part in the remainder of this season, including this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup. Everyone at the Club wishes Erling a speedy recovery.”
Potential return date: Unknown
There was huge excitement about winger Oscar Bobb before the season started, having impressed towards the back end of last year as well as in pre-season.
However, the Norway international broke his leg before the campaign got underway and has not featured since.
Bobb is back in training though, so the hope will be that he can return before the end of the season.
"He's training now regularly, he feels really, really better," said Guardiola.
"He played a friendly game with the second team to see how, because he has to be on the pitch in the training sessions.”
Potential return date: April
Defender Manuel Akanji underwent surgery on a muscle injury sustained against Real Madrid in February, which was expected to rule him out for around two months.
Potential return date: May
John Stones has endured a nightmare season on the injury front and was forced off against Real Madrid with a thigh problem.
His return date remains unclear, though he is not thought to require surgery.

“He can be recovered during eight to 10 weeks without surgery,” said Guardiola in February.
Potential return date: Unknown
Fellow defender Nathan Ake required surgery on a fractured foot earlier this month and was expected to miss between 10 to 11 weeks.
It remains to be seen if he will feature for City during the Club World Cup at the end of the season.
Potential return date: Unknown
The Spanish international has resumed at least some training but Guardiola has insisted no risks will be taken with his return from a long-term injury.
“I don’t know,” Guardiola said. “Listen, it would be nice if he played tomorrow but don’t do a wrong decision right now and make a step back.
“The injury, the doctors said seven months, eight months. [We’ve] arrived at six months so he’s behaving on the pitch really well already. But competition is completely different.

“We will see, step by step. I rely a lot on his word but what the doctors say, what his physio says. Not to say ‘target [Club] World Cup’ and after we’re going to lose you for many, many months again.
“We have to be sure that he’s fine and after he’ll be involved.”
