Manchester City have welcomed growing interest in Ko Itakura.

After a successful loan with Schalke last season, the Japan defender is a target for Borussia Monchengladbach.

However, BILD says a move is stalling as Premier League clubs make their interest known.

City are pleased with the growing enquiries as they plan to sell to the highest bidder.

However, Itakura himself regards a move to Borussia as the “first option" .
