Manchester City have been sensational in the opening 30 minutes against Nottingham Forest.

Pep Guardiola’s side are two goals to the good with Phil Foden and Erling Haaland finding the back of the net.

It’s an ominous sign for the rest of the Premier League and what will especially worry the rest of the division is the way the hosts opened the scoring this afternoon.

Foden’s stunning strike early on was at the end of a remarkable 46-pass move.

According to Opta, it is the second-longest passing sequence that has led to a goal in Premier League history.

The first? A Nacer Chadli strike for Tottenham against QPR in 2014 which was 48.

That’ll be City’s next target then.
