Manchester City will reportedly move for Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas following the long-term injury suffered by Claudio Bravo.
Bravo ruptured his Achilles tendon in training on Monday and faces six months out, with 20-year-old Daniel Grimshaw now set to deputise for first-choice Ederson.
Despite the market being closed for English clubs, they could sign a replacement on an ’emergency loan’ due to the rule of a long-term injury allowing an extra body to be added.
According to AS, the arrival of Thibaut Courtois at the Bernabéu has clouded Navas’ future with uncertainty which could allow City to move for the Costa Rican.
The 31-year-old started Madrid’s Super Cup loss to Atlético Madrid and opening day La Liga win over Getafe but is believed not to be viewed as long-term number one.
Any move is unlikely, however, with Navas admitting he is ready to stay and fight for his place.
