Manchester City have informed Barcelona only cash will secure them Aymeric Laporte and Bernardo Silva.

City and Barca have been in transfer talks about their players for several weeks, with the Catalans expressing interest in Laporte and Bernardo - having already welcomed Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia on free transfers this month.

Marca's Luis Rojo, however, reports that City have made it clear they will not consider any swap arrangements for the pair.

Instead, the pair can only leave for a starting price of €60m as a package.

For the moment, Barca do not have the cash to consider such a deal, with sales already needed to help fund Lionel Messi's new contract.
