Manchester City are poised to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG for €35 million (£30.3 million), with Ederson moving to Fenerbahçe, per The Athletic.

Donnarumma is set to take over from Ederson in Pep Guardiola’s squad, with the Brazil international expected to join Fenerbahçe in a deal reportedly worth around €14 million (£12.1 million) as the summer window winds down.

Moreover, DAZN’s and SportMediaset’s Orazio Accomando reported that Manchester City have reached an agreement in principle with PSG to sign Donnarumma for a €35 million fee, with an additional €4 million in add-ons.

The Turkish transfer window remains open until September 12, meaning Manchester City face no immediate rush to finalize Ederson’s departure before Monday’s 7 p.m. deadline for English clubs.

Even though Donnarumma has Champions League-winning experience, Sky Sports’ Dougie Critchley explained why he isn’t a fan of the Premier League club pursuing the former AC Milan standout.

“I like Gianluigi Donnarumma, but I think it’s a really strange move for City,“ Critchley wrote on X. “He’s a brilliant shotstopper, but he’s poor with the ball at his feet and £57m on two goalkeepers when you don’t have a natural right back? City’s business in recent years is questionable.”

It will be interesting to see how Donnarumma fares in the Premier League and whether he can have the same impact at Manchester City as he did with PSG.
