Manchester City will be without right back Kyle Walker for the first leg of their round of 16 tie in the UEFA Champions League.

The England defender got a red card in their final group stage game, a 2-1 defeat to RB Leipzig.

City have finished top of their group, which was the case regardless of the result on Tuesday.

If the UEFA disciplinary panel review the incident, they could even increase Walker's ban to two games.

"It's definitely a red card," Guardiola told reporters post-game.

"I'm not coming here to say what happened in the dressing room.

"We made an incredible group stage, we qualified with one game left from a tough group. I am more than satisfied with the performance in every single game."

Left back Oleksandr Zinchenko added: "Kyle is such an important player for us, everyone knows that he's one of the best full-backs in the world. The team needs him.

"Unfortunately he got the red card, I don't know if it was the right decision because I didn't see it.

"He was disappointed in the dressing room. But there is no time to be sad, we have to react well. We have to move on."
