Man City boss Guardiola: Garcia could still be convinced to sign contract

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola isn't giving up on keeping hold of Eric Garcia.

Off contract in June, Garcia is eager to return to former club Barcelona in January after being blocked from making the move over the summer.

However, after their Champions League defeat of Porto, Guardiola said: "I'm very happy with Eric's game.

"I know he wanted to leave, but he eventually stayed and we might be able to convince him to renew his contract with us.

"He is a player who is very stable in many areas, and we are delighted to be able to count on him."
