Manchester City are amongst a host of clubs that have had offers for Juventus centre-back Merih Demiral turned down, according to Tuttosport. The Italian champions maintain that the player ‘isn’t for sale’.

The Turkish international has been the subject of bids from all over Europe, with figures even reaching €40 million. Alongside Manchester City; Bayer Leverkusen, Leicester City, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 have all had proposals instantly turned down by Juventus.

Demiral has only played three times in the Serie A this season, but his potential to improve and his modern day style of passing from the back will have caught Guardiola’s eye.

It’s reported that Juventus are looking to unload the unhappy Daniele Rugani in January; and with Giorgio Chiellini’s future still unknown, the club are hesitant to let go of another centre-back.
