Manchester City’s trial with the Premier League over 115 alleged breaches of financial rules will take place in autumn 2024.

That’s according to a well-sourced report in the Daily Mail which claims that City will face off against league lawyers late next year.

City are accused of breaching 115 regulations over 14 seasons from 2009/10 onwards.

A date of autumn 2024 has been reportedly agreed to by City and the Premier League but with the complexity of the trial, it is likely that any punishment won’t be handed down until summer 2025.

That, incidentally, is when Pep Guardiola’s current contract at the Etihad is due to end.

Everton were recently given a 10-point deduction after they were found to have breached Premier League rules, which was the biggest sanction in competition history.
