Sundowns lure SA-born star from USA

Mamelodi Sundowns have completed the loan signing of former Kaizer Chiefs and Stars of Africa youth player Tsiki Ntsabeleng from Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit FC Dallas.

The 27-year-old player has been in the United States of America (USA) since 2018 through a football scholarship at Oregon State University and was included in the MLS super draft squad for Dallas in 2022.

Since then, Ntsabeleng made 92 appearances for Dallas, scoring two goals and providing seven assists across all competitions. Overall, this season, he featured in 13 matches for the MLS franchise.

Prior to securing a loan move to his native country and boyhood club, the attacking midfielder extended his stay with Dallas to December 2026.

Now, Ntsabeleng is set to showcase his talent in the South African topflight division for the first time in his professional football career, with his loan deal at Chloorkop set to expire at the end of the ongoing 2025/26 season.
