RCD Mallorca star Robert Navarro has this weekend addressed the ongoing speculation linking him with a move to La Liga rivals Athletic Club.
Attacker Navarro for his part only made the move to Mallorca this past summer.
After coming to the decision not to renew his contract with Real Sociedad after a season out on loan, the 22-year-old ultimately opted to take his talents to Son Moix.
Navarro, however, only committed to a single year with Jagoba Arrasate’s troops.
In turn, it has been widely suggested that, upon the conclusion of the season, the Spanish youth international intends to pen terms with the aforementioned Athletic Club.
Speaking in an interview with Relevo this weekend, the subject of as much was, in turn, put to Navarro himself.
In quotes cited by Mundo Deportivo, however, the versatile winger moved to play down links with Ernesto Valverde’s side:
“People talk, but I am very calm. I signed for a year in Mallorca, above all, to be able to enjoy myself as I did in Cádiz and then choose my future freely. I want to know that, if I go somewhere else or stay in Mallorca, it is because I want to go there.”
