Mallorca & Celta Vigo to do battle over free agent Championship star | OneFootball

A pair of La Liga clubs are ready to do battle over the signature of an upcoming free agent.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing El Gol Digital, who point towards Grady Diangana as the player in question.

Diangana, for his part, has emerged as something of a market opportunity with a view to the 2025/26 campaign.

After allowing his West Brom contract terms to run down, the talented attacking midfielder/winger is set to be available as a free agent from July 1st.

As per MD, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third, RCD Mallorca have earmarked Diangana as a leading target.

The Bermellones are understood to be very keen on the 27-year-old, considered a potentially perfect fit at Son Moix.

As alluded to above, though, if Mallorca hope to tie up a deal for Diangana, they may be forced to beat out competition from a La Liga rival.

Celta Vigo, too, ‘requested reports on the African’s development and performance from his club,’ with a view to a potential summer swoop.
