The Brazilian striker spent a solitary season with the Blaugrana but struggled to established himself before eventually being sold to Zenit St Petersburg.
But Malcom has revealed that he still has affection for his time in the Catalan club and would like a second bite of the cherry.
“I can say that I receive messages about returning to Barcelona,” Malcom said in an interview with RMC Sport.
“Every time the coach gave me an opportunity to play, I did my job and I think I did it well.
“That’s why the Barcelona fans love me.”
It was a difficult 12 months for the 22-year-old who scored just one LaLiga goal for Ernesto Valverde’s side, but Malcom has reiterated that he would make the move again.
“No, I don’t regret it,” he added.
“I’m young and I want to play anywhere, because I like football.
“Zenit are the team who gave me the opportunity to play football.”
