Latest Spurs news: Tottenham announce huge sponsorship deal with AIA

Tottenham confirmed that the AIA Group Limited (AIA) have extended their partnership with the club until the 2026-27 season.

AIA have been our shirt sponsors from 2013, when they became Cup Shirt Partners and were the official shirt partners in all competitions from the following season.

A release from the club adds that the brand’s name will appear on the front of the Men’s, Women’s and Academy Team jerseys until 2027. This announcement comes at a great time for AIA as they celebrate their Centennial year.

Tottenham also visited Shanghai and Singapore as part of these celebrations, with several players participating in events.

Fans unhappy with the Red of AIA

The BBC claims that Spurs will pocket £320m over the eight years of the deal.

This matches the £40m-a-season deal that Chelsea have arranged with Yokohama tyres, however, it is £10m short of Manchester United’s deal with Chevrolet (h/t BBC).

The deal is incredible given its length and valuation but some of the fans were not happy with the brand. AIA have always kept their logo in red on the Tottenham home kit, and many fans did not want to see that colour on the kits.

Some even claimed that Tottenham’s kits would be sold out if the AIA logo was blue in colour, and here are some of their reactions from Twitter.
