It looks like it could be deal off for one of Chelsea’s major transfer targets this winter window with one player not keen on joining them.

The player in question does not see Chelsea as a good place to go for his development, because shock horror, it’s another teenager!

And it comes with no surprise that a young player does not see Chelsea as a good destination for his development because they are signing so many young players from around the world, the competition is just going to be ridiculous even for the very best. Add that to all the first team signings they have made and are still making, then why would any young payer look at Chelsea today and see it as a good place to go and develop and get a major opportunity to play and break into the first team?

Chelsea are still chasing Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, and there has been even recent rumours suggesting they are back in talks to try and sign him.

Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United is another attacker who Chelsea are looking at. But it is Tel who is not keen on joining The Blues.

German reporter Philipp Kessler reports that a move for Tel to Chelsea is not an option for the player at the moment. And this is because Tel does not see Chelsea as a good destination for his development at this stage.

The lad sounds smart to me, I think I would be exactly the same if I was in his shoes. Chelsea should be looking for more instant proven players to come in and make a difference right now anyway, not a player who has failed to score in the league all season.
