It genuinely now does feel like the Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea transfer is very close this Friday morning.

Things have been progressing over the last few days and it appears the clubs are now just a small way apart of agreeing the final fee and they should meet somewhere in the middle.

According to The Daily Mail writers Matt Barlow and Simon Jones, Chelsea are ready to seal the move for £95m within the next 24 hours.

Inter Milan rejected a £85m plus Marcos Alonso offer for Lukaku, but Chelsea are confident in getting the deal done for £95m.

This could then see a transfer domino affect with Atalanta’s Colombia international Duvan Zapata being pursued as a potential replacement for Lukaku. If he goes io Inter, Atalanta are among several clubs interested in Tammy Abraham, who can leave Chelsea for £40m and could replace Zapata.
