Mike Maignan was the star of the show in France’s Nations League game against Croatia, saving two penalties – a return to the spotlight for the AC Milan star.

Rather than being the star of the Milan team, the shot-stopper has been discussed as a disposable star, and this is why there have been doubts about his contract extension, despite the fact everything is agreed.

Speaking after his performance against Croatia to French television station TF1 (via L’Equipe), the goalkeeper spoke like a captain would, once again showing why he might be the right man to don the armband for Milan.
