Borussia Dortmund will be without the services of midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud for the rest of the season, coach Lucien Favre has confirmed.
The 24-year-old had been an impressive performer for BVB since the Bundesliga returned earlier this month.
But he will now be sidelined for what remains of the campaign due to a knee injury which he picked up in the midweek loss against Bayern Munich.
It has been a difficult season for Dortmund on the injury front.
Captain Marco Reus remains sidelined with a long-term problem, while Erling Haaland will also miss this weekend’s clash with Paderborn.
He too limped out of Tuesday’s Klassiker defeat, although Axel Witsel did at least make his comeback off the bench in that one following his own fitness issues.
