Manchester United clashed heads with Liverpool at Old Trafford earlier tonight, hoping to pick up all three points on their home turf. The visitors tore apart the United defence as Naby Keita, Mohamed Salah, and Diogo Jota got their names on the scoresheet to secure a thumping 5-0 win for their side.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester United player fared during the clash against the Reds.

David de Gea 4

He made some crucial saves to keep the scoreline at 5-0, but it was a bad day at the office for the Spanish shot-stopper despite all the efforts.

Luke Shaw 3

The England international was at sixes and sevens trying to defend against Mohamed Salah, who scored a hattrick in the first 50 minutes of the game.

Harry Maguire 2

The skipper made numerous mistakes leading to goals for the visitors, but it has become a regular occurrence at this point. Absolutely shambolic defending!

Victor Lindelof 3

There was absolutely no communication between the Swedish centre-back and Harry Maguire. Forget defending; Lindelof was struggling to pick his passes from the defence.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka 4

Wan-Bissaka fell relatively short against the Jota-Robertson partnership down the left flank.

Scott McTominay 5

Perhaps the only player on the pitch who wasn’t playing against Manchester United. He won some crucial balls in the middle of the park for his side.

Fred 2

The opposition forwards could get past him with little to no effort. It was as if he wasn’t even there.

Bruno Fernandes 4

The Portuguese playmaker was forced into playing early passes due to Liverpool’s tireless pressing, and it’s pretty apparent that he found no joy in doing so.

Marcus Rashford 4.5

He looked pretty sharp for the first forty-five minutes or so as he got himself into some of the most dangerous positions down the left wing. However, he lacked the finishing touch in front of the goal.

Mason Greenwood 4

The 19-year-old looked rather selfish in possession of the ball. Furthermore, he didn’t track back his marker to help Wan-Bissaka in defence.

Cristiano Ronaldo 4

He did score a goal, but it was later ruled offside. That’s the best he could do tonight.
