Leicester City will face off against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night as they hope to secure all three points on the road and take one step closer to finishing in the Premier League’s top-four.

Brendan Rodgers will set his team up in a 3-4-1-2 formation and is expected to make one change to his first XI for this game. James Maddison could get the nod to operate in the number ten position while Ayoze Perez makes room for him and drops to the bench. However, Jonny Evans is a significant doubt for this game after he was forced off with an injury versus the same opponents in the FA Cup final.

Defence

Kasper Schmeichel will function in goal for the Foxes after securing a clean sheet last Saturday. Rodgers could opt for a back three of Caglar Soyuncu, Jonny Evans and Wesley Fofana as they look to keep things tidy at the back during the 90 minutes. If Evans fails to recover in time, Wes Morgan could fill in as the third centre-back after his impressive display off the bench in the cup final.

Daniel Amartey will be available for selection on the bench as he offers cover for the centre-back positions.

Midfield

Youri Tielemans will anchor the midfield for Leicester alongside Wilfred Ndidi as they look to stop the Blues from dominating possession at the centre of the park. Luke Thomas will be a guaranteed starter down the left flank while Timothy Castagne looks to impress on the other side as the right-sided wide player.

James Maddison will get a chance to catch the eye as the attacking midfielder. His main focus would be to create some inviting chances for the front players.

Marc Albrighton and Hamza Choudhury will be available for selection on the Foxes bench but could come on to make an impact in the second half if needed.

Attack

Jamie Vardy will lead the line along with Kelechi Iheanacho up top. They failed to score in the FA Cup final, so we can expect both of them to be eager to get back to goal-scoring ways in midweek.
