Liverpool will lock horns with Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they look to secure a victory in the Community Shield final. The Reds managed to beat Athletic Bilbao twice on the same day at Anfield in their recent pre-season friendlies, so we can expect their confidence to be high going into this contest against the Eagles.
Arne Slot will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to name a strong first XI for this game. Alexis Mac Allister, Virgil Van Dijk, and Allison Becker could all play from the start of this clash.
Alisson Becker will feature in goal for the Merseyside club as he looks to keep a clean sheet at Wembley this weekend. Ibrahima Konate will resume his partnership with Virgil Van Dijk at the centre of the Liverpool backline as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.
Jeremie Frimpong will get a chance to shine as the right-back, while Milos Kerkez hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back.
Kostas Tsimikas and Wataru Endo will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch will anchor the midfield for the Merseyside club as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz, and Mohamed Salah will operate just ahead of them as part of the Liverpool attack. All three of them would be eager to link up with each other well and create a lot of chaos in and around the Palace penalty box.
Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Federico Chiesa will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Hugo Ekitike will lead the charge for the Reds in the final third. He would be keen to impress by finding the back of the net against the Eagles this weekend.
Rio Ngumoha will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if required.
