Lyon's De Sciglio: 'We mustn't panic vs. Lille'

"Not panicking" will be key for Lyon in their potentially decisive Ligue 1 Uber Eats encounter with title rivals Lille on Sunday, says OL defender Mattia de Sciglio.

Lyon come into the game at the Groupama Stadium in fourth place, but are only three points behind the current league leaders and just one goal worse off in terms of goal difference.

That means victory over Christophe Galtier's men will take OL onto the French top-flight's podium with just four matches left in the season.

To do that, De Sciglio says Rudi Garcia's men must take their time in trying to break down the division's meanest defence.

"Above all, we have to be patient. Lille are a team that defends very well, they are very solid and have quick players up front," explained the Italy international.

"All that gives you a lot of motivation. We mustn't make the mistake of panicking. We'll have 90 minutes to win the match. We have to look forward to it and be motivated."
