Though the coronavirus pandemic has frozen football for the time being, Bayern have been plenty busy in the transfer market.

After already agreeing a deal to sign 17-year-old Hoffenheim forward Armindo Sieb, they have their eyes set on 19-year-old Lyon defender Pierre Kalulu.

According to RMC, Bayern’s offer for the France U-20 international has been rejected, with Lyon opting to use the player in their reserves next season.

However, with Sevilla and AC Milan also interested in the youngster, it’s believed that Bayern will make a second bid for the player.

Lyon may have a problem holding onto their asset as his contract expires this summer. Since Kalulu came through their academy, Lyon would still be owed a development fee, said to be around €500,000.

The wing-back, who is also well-versed at centre-back, has yet to make a first-team appearance for Lyon. In 16 UEFA Youth League appearances, the Lyon U-19 captain has dished out three assists.
